As a Senior/Principal Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides technical support in rail projects. Your expertise will enable you to make a significant impact on our clients' success.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality structural assessments and reports to clients. You will utilize hand calculations and Finite Element methods to meet client deadlines and budgets.

You will also apply your knowledge of structural analysis to bogies and suspension, as well as manage resource, work packages, budgets, project, and commercial risks.

In addition, you will provide impartial review to other structural projects as an independent checker and support the Structures Service Area Lead in delivering a wide portfolio of projects.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Extensive engineering knowledge relating to engineering principles, Finite Element Analysis, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in using ANSYS Workbench or Altair HyperWorks, our key FE packages, or a comparable software package suitable for complex structural assessments.

Estimated Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
