About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Anaesthetics Consultant to join our team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Theatres and Anaesthetics department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, progressive, and professional Anaesthetic services in a broad range of surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert Anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures
  • Working collaboratively with our existing Anaesthetists to deliver a high-quality Anaesthetic service
  • Participating in training, medical education, and continuous professional development
  • Conducting clinical audit and using evidence-based practice to inform decision-making
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A primary medical degree registrable in the UK
  • To be on the GMC's Specialist Register (or entry expected within 6 months from the date of interview)
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent (confirmed by PMETB/GMC by date of interview)
  • FRCA or equivalent
  • Experience of working in an NHS hospital
  • Full GMC Registration and licensable
