About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthetic Consultant to join our team at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Anaesthetics department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, progressive, and professional Anaesthetic services in a broad range of surgical specialties.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our existing Anaesthetists to deliver a comprehensive Anaesthetic service, including theatre work, pre and post-operative visiting, emergency work, outpatient pre-assessment activities, and administration directly related to the above. You will also be responsible for participating in training, medical education, continuous professional development, formal teaching, audit, clinical management, and local clinical governance activities.
Person Specification
We are looking for a candidate with a primary medical degree registrable in the UK, who is on the GMC's Specialist Register or has entry expected within 6 months from the date of interview. Relevant CCT or equivalent is also required, as well as FRCA or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have wide experience in all aspects of Anaesthesia, including experience in Bariatric and/or Preassessment. They will also have evidence of research experience and published work, as well as the ability to teach clinical skills to medical staff/students and other disciplines.
