Job Title: Child Care Professional
Estimated Salary: £24,907 - £30,615 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Nursery Nurse on the Children's Unit at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital. The role involves providing activities for inpatient children, supporting parents, and offering distraction techniques during procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education or equivalent qualification. Experience in a similar environment and confidence in planning activities for various ages of children are desirable. IT skills are also beneficial.
Main Responsibilities:
- Initiate suitable age-appropriate activities for inpatient children
- Support families and nursing staff with babies and children
- Be directly involved in health promotion for children, such as promoting healthy eating

- NNEB/BTEC or equivalent qualification
