About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at Kier Group. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a broad range of civil and structural related services in both Temporary and Permanent Works throughout the Kier business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Temporary Works Design and Checking: You will be responsible for designing and checking Temporary Works above and below ground in all materials, integrated with Permanent Works design if applicable.
  • Delivery of Alternative Solutions and Value Engineering: You will contribute to the delivery of more complex services by providing solutions that are safe and buildable, enhancing Kier's reputation and competitive position.
  • Tender Stage and Bid Winning Support: You will provide support at the tender stage and bid-winning process, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Technical Assessment and Review: You will conduct technical assessments and reviews of 3rd party designs, ensuring compliance with the brief to meet client and Kier requirements.
  • Team Management and Mentorship: You will manage and mentor other junior KPS staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Chartered Engineer Status: You must be a Chartered Engineer or be working towards achieving Chartered status.
  • Temporary Works Design Experience: You should have experience in Temporary Works Design or be interested in developing this skill.
  • Full UK Driving Licence: You must hold a full UK driving licence.
