Senior Automation and Controls Professional

RBW Consulting is excited to present a challenging opportunity for a Senior/Principal Automation and Controls Professional with a leading Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) partner.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, our partner is passionate about supporting companies from Development to Commercial launch of their Sterile products, with a particular focus on Injectables.
Dedicated to quality and growth, our partner continually seeks to improve. Over the past 5 years, they have invested over $100M into their facilities to improve capabilities and expand capacity, allowing you to work on large-scale projects and expand your own experience in a complex area.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage access control, software revisions, backups, and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems.
- Functional Specifications Review: Evaluate hardware and software specs for new automated equipment (utility, process, filling, packaging, and inspection).
- Electrical Control Systems: Read and understand control system diagrams, red-line them to reflect as-built conditions.
- Vendor Interaction: Define user requirements, review vendor automation design documentation, and support engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Understand complex ladder logic, PLC-based controllers, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring.
- Risk Assessment: Prepare risk assessments for automated systems.
- Supervision: Oversee junior engineers, contractors, and maintenance staff.
