About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Asset Management to join our team at Field Energy.

In this role, you will be responsible for the commercial operation of our growing portfolio of energy assets. Your primary focus will be on ensuring our assets in construction are ready to generate revenue as soon as they are commissioned by applying for generation licenses, managing the Capacity Market process, interfacing with our construction and trading teams, and communicating with the BESS SCADA system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management:
    • Oversee the management of our energy assets to ensure optimal performance and revenue generation.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve asset availability and minimize ancillary services penalties.
  • Commercial Performance:
    • Optimize commercial performance by seeking to continuously improve our third-party optimizers, being a 'critical friend' to our internal data science and trading colleagues, and evaluating the best time to augment and repower assets.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Maintain regulatory compliance of our assets by understanding and negotiating improvement to our fixed costs, and participating in relevant DSO and NGESO tenders.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Chair monthly asset management reviews to report performance to the Senior Leadership Team and other key stakeholders from the perspective of health and safety, availability, market performance, commercial performance, and financial performance.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing a portfolio of operational energy assets.
