Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in the S8 area. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with various social, emotional, mental health (SEMh) and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise pupils throughout the school day and encourage engagement with their education
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and provide emotional support
  • Manage challenging behaviour and provide de-escalation techniques
  • Work 1:1 with pupils, in small groups or provide general classroom support
Requirements:
  • Previous experience supporting children or adults with challenging behaviour
  • Patience, resilience and a caring disposition
  • Ability to set clear boundaries and encourage positive behaviour
  • Full driving license (preferred but not essential)
Benefits:
