About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at The Ivy Collection. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring that our high standards of quality and presentation are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Sous Chef in the preparation and presentation of dishes, including menu planning and food costing.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of the Chef de Partie team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes, in line with the company's culinary vision.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef and other senior chefs to plan and execute special events and functions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of classical and modern cooking techniques, including menu planning and food costing.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
