Salary: £14.05 per hour

Job Description

As a Northeast Regional Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting our Regional Lead in promoting the interests of individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people in the Northeast region of Scotland.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and engaging with local communities, organizations, and agencies to promote The Assembly's mission and goals.
  • Building strong relationships with regional members, decision-makers, and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
  • Providing support to regional members to participate in national meetings, workshops, and consultations, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase participation and engagement among regional members, including those with limited access to digital technologies.
  • Representing The Assembly at regional events, meetings, and conferences, promoting our mission and values.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autistic people, or a willingness to learn and adapt to their needs.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and technology, including email, Zoom, Teams, Facebook, Facetime, Messenger, Skype, and WhatsApp.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Please note that this role is for 16 hours per week, with flexibility to work from home, our Dundee office, or other locations in the Northeast region. You will be expected to commit to a 3-month probation period, after which continued employment will be subject to performance review and funding availability.
