Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Clinical Placement Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality provision of practice learning opportunities for learners across the Trust who are undertaking programmes leading to registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work collaboratively with Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and other practitioners across the sector to monitor practice placements and ensure they are fully compliant with audit requirements.
  • To develop and maintain clinical practice placement opportunities for learners undertaking Pre-registration Nursing and Nursing Associate courses within the Trust.
  • To ensure that clinical placement areas meet the requirements outlined within the Standards for Pre-registration Nursing Education (NMC, 2010).
  • To work with placement areas and HEIs to ensure that all annual clinical placements audits are up to date and to establish and maintain systems for monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the quality of the practice learning environments.
  • To provide support and guidance for Practice and Academic Assessors, Practice Supervisors and staff who support and assess students and learners in clinical practice.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the sector.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
