**Job Overview**

Hampshire County Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Work Manager to join our team in Basingstoke.

**Salary Information**

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus a Market Supplement of £8,350 pro-rata, per annum.

**Job Description**

We are looking for an experienced social worker to support Social Workers within the Children in Care Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring statutory requirements are followed, supporting the team to discharge care orders, SGOs, and parenting assessments, and helping to reunify children with their families.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving outcomes and lived experiences of children, and demonstrate high standards of practice and maintenance. A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England are essential, as is the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some days in the office and travel around the county.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • SUPPORT SOCIAL WORKERS WITHIN THE CHILDREN IN CARE TEAM
  • ENSURE STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS ARE FOLLOWED
  • SUPPORt MULTIPLE-AGENCY PRACTICE AND CHAIR MEETINGS
  • TAKE ON A SMALL CASeload AND PROVIDE SUPERVISION TO STAFF
