Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Third Party Claims Handler to join our team at Jobwise Ltd. As a Senior Third Party Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims, providing excellent service to policyholders, and delivering an excellent customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of claims, ensuring timely allocation of tasks within department, company, and FCA guidelines.
- Provide point of contact for incoming broker queries or complaints, ensuring these are actioned as appropriate.
- Keep brokers and policyholders fully updated throughout the claim.
- Manage complaints with confidence, with minimum assistance from team leader and manager.
- Coach and mentor staff, providing relevant training as part of that role.
- Provide support and advice to junior staff daily.
- Monitor the department's workload, prioritizing junior staff tasks, and ensuring no backlog develops.
- Assist with team/department reports and audits in absence of more senior claim handlers.
Requirements:
- Strong previous experience in a similar Senior Claims Handler role, handling 3rd party claims.
- Proven ability to train and mentor junior staff.
- Either hold a CII Certificate or willing to work towards this.
- Dip CII would be advantageous but not essential.
- Confident negotiator with ability to influence outcomes.
- Strong customer care skills with active listening skills.
- General skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
