About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GP Practice Nurse to join our team at John Hampden Surgery. As a key member of our primary care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients, including assessing, diagnosing, and treating minor illnesses and acute conditions.
- Work collaboratively with GPs, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure seamless care and effective communication.
- Conduct health screenings, provide health education, and offer advice on healthy living and disease prevention.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies.
- Collaborate with the practice team to ensure effective communication, coordination, and delivery of patient care.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience in primary care or a related field, with a strong understanding of minor illness and acute care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, adhere to data protection policies, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
