About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at John Hampden Surgery. As a Practice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our practice's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients with minor illnesses and acute conditions, under the supervision of our Same Day Access GP.
- Manage and care for patients with chronic diseases, including those with complex needs.
- Conduct health screenings, including blood pressure checks, urinalysis, and health education advice.
- Provide routine injections, vaccinations, and immunisations, as well as remove sutures and clips.
- Collect pathological specimens, including intravenous blood samples and swabs.
- Perform investigatory procedures, as requested by our GPs.
- Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team, including maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring the clinical computer system is up-to-date.
Requirements
- Hold a Qualified Nursing Qualification and be registered with the NMC.
- Have experience working in a Primary Care setting, or in a team environment.
- Have experience with minor illness and acute care, as well as dealing with all age groups, including children and vulnerable patients.
- Be able to drive and hold valid insurance that covers home visiting, at your own cost.
