We are seeking an experienced Ecological Project Manager to lead our team of ecologists in delivering high-quality projects across the UK.
Job Description:
As an Ecological Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing ecology projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
You will work closely with our team of ecologists, environmental planners, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, manage resources, and ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ecology projects, including developing project plans, managing resources, and ensuring timely delivery
- Work closely with the ecology team to develop survey reports, license applications, and other documents
- Manage project risks, quality assurance, and client feedback
- Develop emerging workstreams, such as Biodiversity Net Gain
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in ecology or a related discipline
- Protected species survey licenses and experience of protected species mitigation licensing
- Full understanding of habitat survey and broad knowledge of protected species survey
- Excellent report writing skills and comfortable with ecological impact assessments
- Competent GIS skills and understanding of biodiversity net gain assessment
- Experience of managing ecology projects to completion
