Job Title: Senior Gas Credit Risk Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Gas Credit Risk Specialist to join our team at Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for performing daily credit risk management tasks, developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of risks associated with gas trading, and conducting counterparty assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial and ongoing compliance checks on all existing and prospective counterparties for trading;
- Conduct counterparty assessments (periodic and ad hoc);
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on credit-related issues;
- Prepare credit applications for local and HQ signoffs;
- Recommend changes in credit limits/approval status for senior management approval;
- Monitor counterparty exposure and control credit status of approved counterparties;
- Manage credit collateral;
Requirements:
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills;
- Solid understanding of counterparty risk;
- Previous experience of credit risk management in oil, LNG, and shipping;
- 5+ years in a physical trading environment, with exposure to trading of grid-based gas, with comprehensive knowledge on gas trading industry;
