We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our dynamic HSEQ team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you will ensure that our business operates in a safe, legal, and ethical manner, adhering to all industry regulations and internal policies. This role will be split approximately 80% on health and safety responsibilities and 20% on compliance duties. For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity for the role to be extended or transition into a permanent position.

**Key Responsibilities:**

### Health and Safety (80%)

* Promote a positive health and safety culture across the workplace.
* Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, and ensure all H&S obligations are met.
* Develop and implement H&S policies and procedures.
* Lead incident investigations and work with managers to recommend improvements.
* Issue and maintain records of PPE.
* Deliver H&S training, toolbox talks, and safety communications.
* Stay updated on H&S legislation to ensure compliance.

### Compliance (20%)

* Develop and revise compliance programs to meet business needs.
* Train employees on compliance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with external consultants and coordinate compliance data with other departments.
* Ensure adherence to legal and statutory updates, responding to new regulations in a timely manner.
* Provide training to ensure that compliance procedures are understood and followed.

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:**

* Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate; IOSH membership or equivalent.
* Technical Competencies: Risk assessment, incident investigation, H&S legislation, and IT literacy (MS Applications).
* Experience: Proven experience in H&S within manufacturing or heavy industry sectors.
* Behavioural Competencies: Dynamic, proactive, flexible, and results-focused, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
