Operations Manager / RI Job Description

Field View Care Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Operations Manager / RI to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall management of our residential children's homes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care and compliance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Ofsted registered Responsible Individual for designated services, ensuring they meet relevant requirements.
  • Provide effective leadership across the residential children's homes, driving quality and excellence in care.
  • Manage and implement change to support business growth, developing and implementing operationally viable solutions.
  • Display good commercial acumen, developing and working on bids in line with legislation and customer specification.
  • Commit to safeguarding, including Health & Safety, children, young people, families, and staff in all services.
  • Implement quality assurance practices to monitor and evaluate standards, supporting the company to achieve its objective of continuous improvement.
  • Report regularly on each designated residential Home, ensuring it fulfils its Statement of Purpose and function, and is run in accordance with statute and company policies.
  • Ensure full compliance with all external regulatory bodies.
  • Provide regular formal and informal supervision and management of senior managers, encouraging professional development and identifying training needs.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives associated with the functions of both their own area of service delivery and others as required.
Requirements:
  • A sound working knowledge of statutory requirements associated with residential care of young people.
  • Proven people management skills within a residential setting, including motivating, directing, and delegating.
  • Able to show how to implement approaches to simplify complex processes and make efficiencies and savings.
  • Proven organisational and financial management skills.
  • Health and Social Care Management qualifications.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and business management.
  • Significant experience within a leadership role in a multi-site organisation.
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Well-established stakeholder relationships with a proven track record of running successful children's residential care services and influencing change.
