Job Title: Highways Maintenance Operative

We're seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Operative to join our Transportation team in Glastonbury, Somerset. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our highway services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the delivery of reactive and planned highways maintenance works, including pothole repairs, kerb laying, drainage, and minor civils works.
  • Respond to incidents on the network, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders and emergency services.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on the network, operating a variety of plant and equipment.
  • Use WMS/MMW application to provide accurate records of works carried out on the network.
  • Conduct daily defect reports on vehicles and ensure they are cleaned and maintained in good order.
Requirements:
  • Street Works qualification
  • Full driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
