Highway Maintenance Specialist

We're seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Specialist to join our Transportation team in Glastonbury. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you'll support reactive and planned highways maintenance works, including pothole repairs, kerb laying, drainage, and out-of-hours emergency call-outs.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Contributing to customer care by working closely with team members to ensure client and network users are dealt with in a polite and courteous manner
  • Responding to incidents on the network within designated timescales, liaising with emergency services, and ensuring traffic disruption is minimised
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the network, operating a variety of plant and equipment, and ensuring site and company equipment is secure
  • Using WMS/MMW application at incidents and emergency repairs, and completing required record sheets
  • Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and ensuring they are cleaned and maintained in good order

This role is ideal for those with Street Works qualifications, a full driving licence, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
