About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Highways Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our Planned Works team, you will play a crucial role in delivering reactive works elements of highways maintenance activities on the Somerset Highways Term Service Contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Planned Works Manager in programming, managing, and delivering planned works
  • Supervise daily allocation and management of works and resources, ensuring compliance with program and maintenance requirement plans
  • Liaise with clients, members of the public, and other key stakeholders, including emergency services as required
  • Communicate with the Fleet/Transport Manager to ensure maintenance of vehicles and plant is up to date
  • Actively promote health and safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general health and safety responsibilities
Requirements
  • Hold an SSSTS or higher qualification
  • Be able to drive and hold a full driving license
  • Have experience working within the highways industry, including knowledge of network operations and scheme delivery
