About the Role:
As a skilled Culinary Professional, you will be responsible for planning and providing daily nutritious meals for residents in a National Private Care Provider. You will ensure that the food you purchase is fresh and within budget, while maintaining high standards of health and safety and environmental compliance.
You will be a key member of the team, inspiring and motivating your colleagues to deliver exceptional results. You will work collaboratively with the management team to develop menus that meet dietary requirements and ensure that all kitchen staff are trained and supervised effectively.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting, and excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and provide daily nutritious meals for residents
- Ensure food purchasing is fresh and within budget
- Maintain high standards of health and safety and environmental compliance
- Train and supervise kitchen staff
- Work collaboratively with the management team to develop menus
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting
- Excellent cooking skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and work efficiently under pressure
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
Education and Qualifications:
- Food Hygiene Certified
- Willing to work towards Intermediate Food Hygiene qualifications
- First Aid Certified
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Food Preparation/Catering
