Job Summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Facilities Operative to deliver a high-quality Soft Facilities Management service in schools across Renfrewshire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff at site level to ensure effective delivery of Soft FM services, including building and grounds cleaning, catering, school crossing patrol, security, and other related services.
  • Have previous supervisory experience and be willing to undertake training.
  • Work in a customer-focused environment and be willing to work as part of a team, including supervision, training, and development of Facilities Operatives.
  • Have literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Hold a REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to work towards it if not already in possession of the certificate.
  • Undergo a Disclosure Scotland check, with the level of check determined by the duties of the post.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience in a similar environment.
  • Desirable: previous Soft FM experience in a similar environment.
