Job Summary

The Forecasting Analytics Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Network Demand Forecasting. The Forecasting Analytics Manager will be responsible for building multiple approaches to predicting uncertain events and developing systems for both short-term and long-term forecasts. This role will improve DCC's understanding of customer behavior and future requirements to support DCC's Capacity Management function and wider Stakeholder community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively determine risks and opportunities through scenario analysis.
  • Provide variance analysis of several key metrics (various forecasts vs each other and vs actuals).

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in demand forecasting, modeling, data, and statistics including demonstrable experience in using statistical and analytical methods to produce models and forecasts to provide insight, inform change and business requirements.
  • Extensive experience in 'what if' analysis and running scenarios.
  • Excellent experience in scripting languages, at least one of either Python, R or SQL, as well as Power BI.
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience with a track record of relationship building and liaison with business functions.
  • Experience of large volume data analysis, interpretation of results, and production of summaries and recommendations.
  • Must have a proactive mindset, willing to challenge and help identify continuous improvement ideas & techniques.
