Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Laboratory Technician to join our science department at a reputable secondary school in Tunbridge Wells.

This is a permanent, full-time role, term-time only, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the science department, working closely with teachers to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.

  • Key Details:
    • Position: Senior Laboratory Technician
    • Estimated Salary: £24,405 - £26,622 per annum (term-time only)
    • Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year + 5 inset days
    • Location: Tunbridge Wells
Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining equipment, apparatus, and materials for science lessons
  • Maintaining and preparing laboratories to ensure a safe and effective learning environment
  • E nsuring the correct and safe usage of materials and equipment within the science department
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A science qualification to at least A-Level (or equivalent)
  • Experience working in a laboratory setting is highly desirable
