About the Role

The NHS is recruiting for a Radiology Department Support Assistant to join our team at a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England.

This pivotal role involves direct patient contact and liaison with clinical personnel throughout the hospital. You will support radiographers, radiologists, and nurses in caring for patients, register patients on the Radiology computer system, and assist with transferring patients if no porters are available.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting radiographers and radiologists in caring for patients
  • Registering patients on the Radiology computer system
  • Assisting with patient transfers when necessary
  • Providing basic patient care
Requirements
  • Able to use initiative and work under pressure
  • Ability to support colleagues and work as part of a team
  • Demonstrates good time management skills
  • Ability to compassionately manage sensitive situations
  • Able to handle aggression or distress tactfully with understanding
  • Good interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Good organisational ability
  • Adaptable
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £23,500 - £28,766 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits including a pension scheme, annual leave entitlement, and opportunities for professional development.
