Job Title: Financial Controller
Job Summary:
United Living Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Finance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing best-in-class financial control and management, working closely with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage timely month-end processes, including submission of group reporting packs
- Oversee balance sheet reporting and reconciliations
- Develop and implement cash flow and working capital strategies, including budgeting and analysis
- Ensure the company's financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities, in line with group requirements and to support future growth
- Coordinate the company's interaction with shared central finance functions
- Coordinate finance requirements for supply chain and customers, including onboarding approvals
- Develop and implement central finance governance for project and commercial processes and reports
- Develop and manage annual and in-year budgeting and reporting, review progress against strategic objectives, and variance reporting
- Analyze standard costings for internal resources
- Work with senior managers and commercial leads to optimize financial performance and develop team financial reporting and KPIs
- Manage statutory audit processes and requirements
- Develop and present ad hoc reporting as required, including statutory requirements
Requirements:
- Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experience within construction, services, or project industries desirable but not essential
- Suitable for a first-time mover from practice
- Strong technical accounting background aligned to a keen commercial awareness
- Personable with good communication skills, including being confident in building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to influence key business decision-making
- A switched-on, motivated, and enthusiastic team player
- Diligent but efficient working practices
- Able to work towards deadlines and with a strong eye for detail

- This is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, from our Lingley Mere Office (WFH available)
