FPGA design verification is a crucial aspect of ensuring the reliability and safety of aerospace projects. Manpower UK Ltd seeks an experienced FPGA Design Verification Specialist to join their team on a 6-month contract.

About the Role
This role involves conducting FPGA verification activities in line with DO-254 standards, including managing Problem Reports and producing essential documentation. The successful candidate will also be responsible for authoring and reviewing lab-based physical tests, developing and reviewing test scripts and/or VHDL code, and utilizing scripting languages to support test development, analysis, and data management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct FPGA verification activities in line with DO-254 standards.
  • Manage Problem Reports and produce essential documentation.
  • Author and review lab-based physical tests.
  • Develop and review test scripts and/or VHDL code.
  • Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Tcl) to support test development, analysis, and data management.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to carry out various verification activities.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain traceability for test results.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong VHDL knowledge, particularly for verification (testbenches, scoreboarding).
  • Proven experience in FPGA design and verification.
  • Familiarity with DO-254 verification processes.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Tcl.
  • Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Hands-on lab skills for debugging and testing.
