About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Validation Specialist to join our team in Cheltenham. This is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement verification plans based on ARP4754 guidelines, ensuring comprehensive coverage of system requirements.
  • Design and execute test procedures for system integration and validation, utilizing expertise in communication protocols (RS485, CAN, ARINC-429, Ethernet).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in high-voltage environments, applying electrical engineering principles to ensure the safety and reliability of systems.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, promoting the adoption of agile and scrum methodologies for project execution.
  • Utilize test equipment effectively to perform verification activities, including oscilloscopes, signal generators, and protocol analysers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in aerospace systems verification, with a proven track record of leading teams through complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of ARP4754 guidelines and other relevant aerospace regulations.
  • Experience working in high-voltage environments, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirements.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including a competitive pension scheme, life insurance, and generous holiday entitlement.
