Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Cardiology Specialist to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our cardiac care team, you will be responsible for providing expert assessment and treatment to patients with chest pain.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse Practitioner to work in our Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic, where you will play a critical role in standardising services and care for patients presenting with chest pain. You will work closely with our consultant cardiologists to ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care, adhering to protocols and guidelines.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert assessment and treatment to patients with chest pain
  • Operating within established protocols to identify or refute coronary artery disease
  • Ordering investigations and interpreting results
  • Recommending pharmacotherapy and determining discharge or inpatient admission as necessary
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • NMC registration as a nurse
  • History taking and physical examination skills at Level 7
  • Experience in cardiology
  • ECG interpretation skills
  • Assessment and management skills for patients with chest pain

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, annual leave, and opportunities for professional development.
