About the Role:

Galliford Try is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our ESD Joint Venture in Tarbert. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting exceptional safety and delivering quality standards on our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and control construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage day-to-day site activities, including supervising and monitoring site operations, preparing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure plant and materials are ordered and supplied as required, and that drawings and quantities are accurate for the work.
  • Maintain good client relationships at all levels and comply with customer impact plans.
  • Enhance the company's reputation through excellent site management and customer service.
  • Implement the Building Management System (BMS) at all stages of the project.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor site activities to ensure safety, time constraints, and quality requirements are met.
  • Report and resolve any site non-conformities and manage costs proactively.
  • Undertake other duties, training, and/or hours of work as reasonably required and consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
  • Take all reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A HND or equivalent in engineering or project management related qualification.
  • Experience in the construction or engineering industry, preferably in the water industry.
  • A track record of delivering within agreed parameters.
  • IOSH or SMSTS Safety Management certification.
  • A CSCS Card.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
