About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Greenan Manor, a state-of-the-art care home in South Ayrshire. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Nurse/Team Leader in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of individuals using the service.
  • Provide and promote positive work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff in your department and wider teams to achieve holistic outcomes.
  • Carry out personal care duties with dignity and respect.
Requirements
  • Experience working as a care assistant/support worker or similar care setting is essential.
  • Working towards the qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
  • SVQ level 3 or above/equivalent in Social Services and Healthcare (as per SSSC guidelines) is desirable.
  • Communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A kind and caring nature.
