The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is seeking a Community Safety Advocate to join our team in the Clackmannanshire, Fife, Stirling LSO area. This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours per week, with the possibility of part-time, job share, or flexible working arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage with individuals and communities at increased risk of fire, providing education and support to reduce risk.
- Partner with local organizations to raise fire risk awareness and generate high-value referrals.
- Support thematic areas of work, including road safety, working with children and young people, and engaging with older persons.
- Deliver information to large groups of adults and children, requiring confidence and excellent communication skills.
- Experience working as part of a team, with excellent time management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel across the LSO Area and neighboring areas, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Willingness to undergo training, including ICAT basic, Naloxone, fire skills, FSSE, and safeguarding training.
- A competitive salary, with progression subject to regular review.
