Cable Installation Manager

Haybury is seeking an experienced Cable Installation Manager to lead our subsea cable installation operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading, transporting, and installation of subsea cables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Lead a team of 10 to 15 members, including foremen and operators, to ensure all cable-related operations are conducted with the highest level of safety and efficiency.
- Cable Operations Coordination: Coordinate with colleagues on the bridge and surveyors to optimize cable operations and ensure seamless execution.
- Client Liaison: Maintain daily contact with client representatives to address their questions about progress and technical aspects of the operations.
- Equipment Management: Supervise all operations on the back-deck, including the operability of the Cable Installation System (CIS), ROVs, cranes, and other equipment on board.
- Cable Integrity: Ensure the integrity of the cable during loading, transporting, and installation phases.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain a daily log of activities performed and report to the Offshore Installation Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in submarine cable installation, with several years in a Cable Lay Superintendent or similar role.
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to prioritizing safety and adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Leadership and Communication: Proven leadership abilities and exceptional communication skills to effectively manage and lead a diverse team.
- Flexibility: Ability to work well under pressure in demanding work environments and flexibility regarding working rotation schedules.
