Job Summary

Apollo Home Healthcare Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to provide personalized care and support to a teenage boy in a Bury location. As a Care Assistant - Complex Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering specialized support for his intricate care needs, tending to his clinical care requirements, establishing a calm and comforting sleep environment, offering reassurance if he awakens, and carrying out any necessary clinical interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and support to the service user, ensuring his physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and mobility support.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and comfortable sleep environment, ensuring the service user's sleep needs are met.
  • Provide reassurance and emotional support to the service user, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
  • Carry out clinical interventions as required, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the service user's needs are met.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 months previous care/support work experience.
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • Complex care experience, including medication administration and personal care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
