Maintenance Manager Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our Cold Store Logistics company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 10 maintenance engineers across 7 sites in the Midlands and South East Area.
  • Develop and implement a planned, preventative maintenance programme (PPM) to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Create and drive forward maintenance policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Provide technical support to engineers with fault-finding, diagnostics, and repair of machinery, including Industrial Refrigeration, Industrial Microwaves, Pallet Wrappers, Gear Boxes, and Walk-in Freezers.
  • Manage contractors on site to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
  • Deliver agreed plans and budgets, including established levels of servicing, to meet business objectives.
  • Control all engineering cost lines through robust planning and auditing to minimize expenses.

Requirements:

  • Hold an engineering qualification, such as a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, C&G, HNC, HND, or similar.
  • Experience in setting up policies, procedures, and continuous improvement of TPM, PPM systems.
  • Proven experience within mechanical or electrical engineering.
