Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Lifeguard to contribute to the safety and efficiency of our swimming pool and leisure areas at Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa in Axbridge, Somerset.

This is a maternity cover position requiring variable hours, including weekends and bank holidays. Typical shift times are 8:45am - 5pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm, with flexibility to suit business needs.

We offer NPLQ training for the right candidate.

About the Role

The successful Lifeguard will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the pool and leisure areas operate safely and efficiently.
  • Conducting regular checks of the pool and changing areas.
  • Identifying and addressing hazards or issues.
  • Observing swimmers and spectators.
  • Performing pool water tests and recording results.
  • Checking and recording guest passes.
  • Providing information on current activity programs.
  • Administering first aid as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. A current NPLQ is desirable but not essential. A full UK driving license and ability to drive are advantageous for easy travel to and from the resort.

Key Skills
