We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifeguard to join our team at Darwin Escapes. As a Lifeguard, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and staff.
This is a maternity cover position, and we are looking for someone who can work variable hours, including weekends and bank holidays. Typical shift times would be 8:45am - 5pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm, with flexibility to suit the needs of the business.
We offer comprehensive training for the right candidate, including NPLQ certification.
Main Responsibilities:
The successful Lifeguard will:
- Work within the Leisure team to ensure the pool and leisure areas operate safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular checks of the pool and changing areas to identify potential hazards.
- Monitor swimmers and spectators to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment.
- Perform regular pool water tests and plant checks to maintain optimal water quality.
- Record guest passes and advise guests on current activity programs.
- Administer first aid as required and record any accidents.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a leisure or hospitality setting.
- A current NPLQ certification or willingness to obtain one.
- A full UK driving license and the ability to drive, as this will be an advantage for traveling to and from the resort.
