Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Lifeguard to contribute to the success of our Leisure team at Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa in Axbridge, Somerset.

This is a maternity cover position, requiring variable hours, including weekends and bank holidays. Typical shift times are 8:45am - 5pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm, with flexibility to suit business needs.

As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the pool and leisure areas operate safely and efficiently. This includes conducting regular checks, observing swimmers and spectators, and addressing any hazards or issues that arise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the Leisure team to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for guests.
  • Conduct regular pool and changing area checks to identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor swimmers and spectators, providing assistance and support as needed.
  • Administer first aid and respond to emergencies, as required.
  • Record incidents and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential. A current NPLQ is desirable, and a full UK driving license is advantageous for easy travel to and from the resort.
