Job Title: Non-Executive Board Member

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-Executive Board Member to join our team at ELM Alliance Ltd. As a key member of our Board, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategy and direction of our organisation.

About ELM Alliance Ltd

ELM Alliance Ltd is a GP Federation, wholly owned by its member GP Practices. We deliver primary care and community services under contracts with the NHS CCG, Local Primary Care Networks, and Local Authorities. Our mission is to deliver safe and effective services for patients and members, reducing healthcare inequalities, and improving population health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate plans and strategy to drive organisational success
  • Contribute independent perspectives and expertise to strategic planning
  • Hold the executive team accountable for strategic delivery
  • Participate in committees supporting accountability
  • Shape culture and capability, promoting a healthy organisational culture
  • Ensure the integrity of reporting mechanisms and organisational intelligence
  • Act in the best interests of patients and the public
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of health and social care, with a background in NHS senior management
  • Experience of representing an organisation's interests externally
  • Ability to hold others to account and probe and challenge constructively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and persuade others, articulating a balanced strategic clinical view
  • Intellectual flexibility, with the ability to think clearly and creatively for the long term
