Job Title: Non-Executive Board Member

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Board of Directors at ELM Alliance Ltd. As a Non-Executive Board Member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of our organization and ensuring that we deliver high-quality healthcare services to our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in NHS senior management, with at least seven years of experience in a senior position within the healthcare sector. You will have a track record of senior leadership in healthcare management, with expertise in strategic planning, governance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate plans and strategy to drive the organization's success
  • Contribute independent perspectives, external insights, and expertise to strategic planning
  • Ensure accountability by holding the executive team accountable for strategic delivery
  • Participate in committees supporting accountability, such as the Remuneration Committee and Governance and Risk Group
  • Shape culture and capability by promoting a healthy organizational culture and ensuring that Board members are 'fit and proper' for their roles
Requirements
  • Embrace good governance and be able to hold others to account
  • Able to give an independent view on possible internal conflicts of interest
  • Understand the difference between governance and management
  • Able to uphold the standards of conduct set out in The Seven Principles of Public Life
  • Patient and community focus, with a commitment to the needs of the local community
  • Influencing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate a balanced strategic clinical view
