We are seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Emergency Department. With a proven track record in managing significant budgets, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and optimising service performance.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management: Oversee the optimal staffing, resource allocation, and adherence to performance targets within the Emergency Department.
  2. Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor and report on key performance indicators related to patient flow, quality of care, and service efficiency, implementing improvements as required.
  3. Quality and Safety: Ensure that all care provided meets regulatory standards and aligns with best practices in emergency medicine, prioritising patient safety and quality of care.

In this role, you will work closely with clinical and operational leaders to develop creative solutions to problems and continuously improve the quality and efficiency of emergency care services.

Person Specification
  • Education to degree level or equivalent qualification and/or experience
  • Postgraduate management diploma or equivalent knowledge in a number of management disciplines acquired through training and experience to degree level or equivalent
Experience
  • Proven experience of managing a significant service budget
  • Up-to-date knowledge of NHS system reform policy and other key policy drivers
  • Experience of managing people and teams
Salary

£90,000 - £110,000 per annum
