About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and dedicated individual to join our Emergency Department team as an Emergency Department Support Assistant. The successful candidate will work closely with registered nurses to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Registered Nurses: Work under the supervision of registered nurses to provide patient care.
  • Phlebotomy and Cannulation: Perform venepuncture and cannulation for blood sampling, utilizing near-patient testing facilities as needed.
  • Treatment of Injuries: Apply plasters and immobilize uncomplicated fractures and limb injuries.

Requirements

  • GCSEs: Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Certification in Venepuncture and Cannulation: Certification in these procedures is desirable but not essential.
