Job Title: Financial Risk Analyst I

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Analyst I to join our team at M&G plc. As a key member of our Risk Management function, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with our Group Code of Conduct and embedding desired behaviours.
  2. Be personally accountable for identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risks within your area of responsibility.
  3. Lead on the operational risk engagement with the Business Area on all operational risk matters and bring specialists in as required.
  4. Represent Operational Risk at Business Area specific governance committees, risk forums, or team meetings.
  5. Lead on the oversight and guidance of Business Area implementation of Operational Risk Framework.
  6. Development and maintenance of a relationship between the first line and Operational Risk.
  7. Lead on the delivery of Business Area specific Operational Risk training.
  8. Lead, review, and challenge Business Area led root cause analysis.
  9. Oversight and guidance of major Business Area specific change management programmes.
Requirements:
  1. An experienced financial services professional with a strong background in Risk Management and control.
  2. Strong understanding of the regulatory framework for Non-Financial Risk Management and measurement within financial services.
  3. A good understanding of the risk environment facing Life Insurance and/or Wealth businesses.
  4. Strong presentation skills to senior level boards and committees.
  5. Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  6. Significant risk management experience within the financial services industry.
