Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Central Mersey Diabetic Eye Screening Programme, a team dedicated to improving the lives of patients with diabetic retinopathy. As a screener, you will be responsible for running local clinics, photographing patients' eyes, and assessing their retinopathy.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic individual who can work effectively in a pressured environment. Our screeners are the heart of the NEC Care team, and as a screener, you will be supported in undertaking your training and will work largely unsupervised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run local clinics for patients and photograph their eyes to assess for diabetic retinopathy
  • Work effectively in a pressured environment, using your problem-solving skills to manage tasks and prioritize your workload
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with patients and colleagues
  • Undertake training to develop your skills and knowledge, with ongoing support from the team
