About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. as a Care Officer/ Health Care Assistant in a SEND provision.

The ideal candidate will have a social care background and be passionate about working with vulnerable children who have special needs. This role involves supporting specialist students with Social/ Emotional/ Mental Health needs from the ages 16+ years.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in developing and implementing care plans for each child, ensuring their physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs are met.
  2. Ensure the health and well-being of children, such as administering medication as needed.
  3. Maintain accurate records of each child's progress, behaviour, and any incidents that occur.
  4. Work with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their well-being.

Requirements:

  • A social care background or equivalent experience.
  • Passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Confidence with de-escalation strategies and handling challenging behaviours.
  • Empathy and understanding of special educational needs or Social emotional, mental health.

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
