About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Financial Risk Management Lead to support the delivery of our Enterprise Risk Management Framework activities. This includes identifying, measuring, mitigating, and monitoring risks for all areas within Finance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the transformation and enhancement of process documentation, including consolidations, month-end close, and financial reporting activities;
  2. Develop and implement Group Finance Governance and Oversight methodologies;
  3. Produce data and key metrics for internal reporting on controls;
  4. Drive the development of the Group's Enterprise Risk Management Framework across all risk types impacting Group Finance;
  5. Accountable for preparing and executing the Risk Assurance Plan, including control quality assurance (design and operational effectiveness);
  6. Manage and enrich risk events and correlated causal analysis;
  7. Owning and monitoring Risk Management Standards reviews (risk register, controls framework, and metrics);
  8. Documenting finance processes and technology associated with the internal control framework;
  9. Preparing and executing committee or risk reporting papers/decks and required follow-up actions;
  10. Steering finance projects, policies, or remediations supporting the risk framework;
  11. Coordinating and delivering initiatives for ongoing risk training and workshops, developing out the engagement and risk culture within the Group.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full and current professional qualification in accounting (e.g. ACA, ICAS, CIMA, etc.), finance (e.g. CFA), audit (CIA);
  • Demonstrated and proven understanding of risk management frameworks, with particular focus on financial reporting and finance technology/system risks;
  • Deep knowledge of financial risks, controls testing, and change management processes;

Estimated Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
