We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Content Designer to join our team in the Social Security Programme Division. As a Senior Content Designer, you will play a key role in creating and iterating content for end-to-end services that makes complex language and processes easy to understand.
You will work with minimal supervision to create and iterate content, understand and implement content styles and standards, and lead the design and implementation of content strategies.
Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience of writing for the web, proven ability of planning and creating accessible user-centred content, and experience in working with content publishing systems.
We offer a competitive civil service salary, additional digital pay supplement, contributory pension package, and flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities include working with user researchers to understand users, identifying who they are and what their needs are based on evidence, and prioritising and defining approaches to understanding user stories.
Additional duties include planning and developing content for required business areas, reviewing content produced by others against digital standards and guidelines, and participating in and/or supporting programme and project assurance activities.
Essential digital data and technology knowledge includes experience of managing relationships with stakeholders, working with content publishing systems, and using data and user feedback to define and refine content.
Essential competencies required include people management, communications and engagement, improving performance, and analysis and use of evidence.
