Job Title: Senior Content Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Content Designer to join our team at the Scottish Government. As a Senior Content Designer, you will play a key role in creating and iterating content for end-to-end services that makes complex language and processes easy to understand.

About the Role:

As a Senior Content Designer, you will work with minimal supervision to create and iterate content for end-to-end services. You will understand and implement appropriate content styles and standards, identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders, and lead the design and implementation of content strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work with user researchers to understand users, identifying who they are and what their needs are based on evidence.
* Prioritise and define approaches to understanding user stories, guiding others in doing so, and propose design approaches or services to meet these needs.
* Offer recommendations on the best content design tools and methods to use.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive civil service salary and additional digital pay supplement of £5000 per year, a contributory pension package, generous leave allowance, flexible working arrangements, and learning and development opportunities.

Essential Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) Knowledge:

* Extensive experience of writing for the web, with proven ability of planning and creating accessible user-centred content.
* Proven experience in using data and user feedback to define and refine content.
* Proven experience of managing relationships with stakeholders.
